Keep control of your business records.

Use available CSV reports and PDF downloads for business records, invoices and completion documents. For a complete workspace export, contact us from an authorised owner account and identify the workspace and records required. A complete one-click company export is not currently available. We will verify authority, explain available formats, agree a secure transfer method and confirm timing before supplying it. Do not email passwords or other companies’ data.
Cancel, close or delete
- Cancel a paid plan: use Company settings → Plan & usage → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the paid period end, then Free limits apply. Records remain.
- Close a workspace: contact us for an owner-authorised review. Access can be stopped while records are retained. Resolve subscriptions and export needed records first.
- Delete an unused workspace: a Brighter administrator can review and permanently remove an eligible empty workspace and, if selected, personal logins used only by it. Paid billing history, operational records or changed access can prevent deletion.
- Delete a used workspace or personal information: this needs an assisted review of authority, accounting/legal retention, shared accounts, integrations and backups. We will explain what can be erased and what must be retained. Deletion is not triggered automatically by inactivity.
Retention in practice
We retain active business records for the workspace’s operation and its record-keeping needs. Expired signup records, rate-limit records and document links have cleanup controls. Access and business audit history, invoices and important completion records are retained for support, security and accounting needs; an individual legal or accounting hold can override an ordinary deletion request.
Database recovery history rolls off over the provider’s 30-day window. Separate file recovery copies and manual exports do not currently have an automatic maximum expiry; they require controlled review and removal when no longer needed. Deleting from the live app does not immediately delete those copies or files already exported by users or email recipients. A deletion request includes a review of retained recovery copies and a record of any remaining retention reason. Restoring a backup must reapply recorded closures and deletion restrictions before access is reopened.
Customer companies remain responsible for their statutory business-record obligations. BM does not promise that records are legally sufficient for every tax, safety or industry requirement. Discuss the required period with your accountant or adviser and keep suitable exports.
Support and maintenance
Call 0435 458 275 or email travis@brightertrading.com.au. Include your company ID, what happened, the approximate time and the affected screen. Screenshots should hide unrelated personal information. Never include passwords, driver PINs or authentication codes.
Self-service plans include access to support, without a guaranteed response or resolution time, 24/7 help desk or uptime/recovery SLA. We prioritise security incidents and loss of access. We aim to communicate planned material disruption in advance where practicable; urgent security work may happen immediately. Additional onboarding, custom features or agreed service commitments require a separate quote.
Accessibility
We are working towards accessible desktop and mobile workflows, using WCAG 2.2 AA as the testing target. This is not a claim of complete conformance. Contact us if you cannot use a control, document or workflow, and tell us your device and assistive technology so we can help and investigate.
